For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Pack the 6th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 5th (Mon) at Discovery Cove. There's more to do: find something for the whole family at Walt Disney World Resort and discover the magic at Magic Kingdom Park.

You can fly from Orlando to Key West in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Orlando in September, Key West is a bit warmer at night with lows of 31°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Wed) so you can drive to Islamorada.

Islamorada — 1 night

Islamorada, long recognized as one of the world's top spots for sport fishing, encompasses six islands in the Florida Keys.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Thu): relax and rejuvenate at Island Flow Yoga, then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Florida Keys Brewing Company, and then glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

You can drive from Key West to Islamorada in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 30°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Thu) so you can drive to Key Largo.

Key Largo — 2 nights

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Fri): get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Island Dolphin Care, indulge in some personalized pampering at Prana, and then admire the majestic nature at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. On the next day, stroll through Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, then stroll through Spiegel Grove, and then discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Key Largo is very close to Islamorada. In September in Key Largo, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 28°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Miami Beach.

Miami Beach — 2 nights

Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
On the 18th (Sun), see the interesting displays at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, enjoy the sand and surf at South Beach, then take a stroll through Lincoln Road, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College.

Traveling by car from Key Largo to Miami Beach takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Mon) to allow time to fly back home.
