15 days in Glacier National Park & Great Falls Itinerary

The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.

Change things up with a short trip to Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning (about 1h 15 min away). There's much more to do: trek along Iceberg Lake Trail, stroll through Trail of the Cedars, explore the striking landscape at Grinnell Glacier, and explore the activities along Lake McDonald.

Change things up with these side-trips from Great Falls: Great Northern Carousel (in Helena) and Fort Benton (Museum of the Northern Great Plains, White Cliffs, &more). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Giant Springs State Park, examine the collection at C.M. Russell Museum, have fun and explore at Children's Museum of Montana, and make a splash at Electric City Water Park.
