Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Head to Chihuly Garden and Glass and Elliott Bay Book Companyfor some retail therapy. Step out of the city life by going to Snoqualmie Falls and Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Step out of Seattle to go to Fall City and see Fall City Wallaby Ranch, which is approximately 38 minutes away. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Pike Place Market, get up close to creatures of the deep with Puget Sound Express, observe the fascinating underwater world at Seattle Aquarium, and stroll around Kerry Park.
