Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Change things up with these side-trips from Las Vegas: Boulder City (Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum & Hoover Dam). On the 22nd (Mon), do a day of sightseeing from above with a helicopter tour. Go for a jaunt from Seattle to Mount Rainier National Park to see Discover Nature about 1h 5 min away.
