Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Venture out of the city with trips to Olympic National Park (Mount Ellinor & Hood Canal) and B&B Family Farm (in Sequim). Dedicate the 30th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: view the masterpieces at Chihuly Garden and Glass, don't miss a visit to Space Needle, stop by Glasshouse Studio, and walk around Discovery Park.
