First Eastern National Park

The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.

Los Angeles to Acadia National Park is an approximately 12-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and taxi. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a 3 hour difference. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Los Angeles in June, with highs in Acadia National Park at 68°F and lows at 52°F.
