Stretching over 9.7 km (6 mi) of pristine south Maui coastline, Kihei is the island's driest and sunniest region, making it a perfect location for water activities and beach leisure.
Visit Ho'okipa Beach Park and Kamaole Beach Park III for some beach relaxation. Discover out-of-the-way places like Nakalele Blowhole and Kapalua Beach. Explore Kihei's surroundings by going to Lahaina (Ka'anapali Beach, Maria Lanakila Catholic Church, &more), Ka'anapali (Parasailing & Paragliding & Maui Hands) and Zipline (in Haiku). And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Ulua Beach, stroll through Kamaole Beach Park II, identify plant and animal life at Honolua Bay, and walk around D.T. Fleming Park.

Hana

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Visit Red Sand Beach - Kaihalulu Beach and Honokalani Black Sand Beach for some beach relaxation. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Pipiwai Trail and Hanawi Falls. Explore Hana's surroundings by going to Charles Lindbergh's Grave (in Kipahulu) and Haleakala Crater (in Haleakala National Park). Next up on the itinerary: look for gifts at Halfway to Hana, explore and take pictures at Hana Highway - Road to Hana, view the masterpieces at Laura Mango Art Gallery, and shop like a local with Hana Coast Gallery.

Traveling by car from Kihei to Hana takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In July, daily temperatures in Hana can reach 89°F, while at night they dip to 72°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
