South Dakota's second-largest city, Rapid City has for many years served as a gateway to the West.
Get some historical perspective at Mount Moriah Cemetery and Adams House. Museum-lovers will get to explore South Dakota Air and Space Museum and Mammoth Site of Hot Springs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rapid City: Insideout (in Hill City), Deadwood (Scott Jacobs Studio & Adams Museum) and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site (in Philip).
