Nestled in Missouri's beautiful Ozark Mountains lies one of the country's most attractive vacation towns for year-round family entertainment.
Step off the beaten path and head to Fishing Charters & Tours and Dick's Oldtime 5 & 10. Visiting Zipline and Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery will get you outdoors. Take a break from Branson with a short trip to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park in Lampe, about 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: get in on the family fun at Runaway Mountain Coaster at Branson Mountain Adventure Park, ponder the design of Dancing Water Fountain, and browse the different shops at Branson Landing.

Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
Take a break from the city and head to Presidential Trail and Iron Mountain Road. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Needles Eye Tunnel and Windcross Conservancy. Step out of Custer with an excursion to Mammoth Site of Hot Springs in Hot Springs--about 42 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the waterfront views at Sylvan Lake, take a memorable drive along Wildlife Loop Road, pause for some photo ops at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and immerse yourself in nature at Custer State Park.
