Jackson, officially the City of Jackson, is the capital city and largest urban center of the U.S. Bring the kids along to Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum and Interpretive Center and Mississippi Museum of Art. Get a sense of the local culture at The Old Depot Museum and Old Capitol Museum. Explore Jackson's surroundings by going to Vicksburg (Catfish Row Children's Art Park, McRaven House, &more). And it doesn't end there: get a taste of the local shopping with Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, examine the collection at Mississippi Agricultural & Forestry Museum, contemplate the long history of Medgar Evers Home, and walk around Winner's Circle Park.

Natchez is the county seat and only city of Adams County, Mississippi, United States. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like First Presbyterian Church and Windsor Ruins. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Choctaw Hall and Natchez National Cemetery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Natchez: McComb Railroad Museum (in McComb) and Port Gibson (Grand Gulf Military Park & Port Gibson, Mississippi).
