The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Get outdoors at Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and Virginia Falls. There's lots more to do: explore and take pictures at Going-to-the-Sun Road, explore the striking landscape at Jackson Glacier Overlook, trek along Highline Trail, and contemplate the waterfront views at Avalanche Lake.

Fort Lauderdale to Glacier National Park is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Great Falls is a city in and the county seat of Cascade County, Montana, United States. On the 27th (Tue), hike along River's Edge Trail, then immerse yourself in nature at Giant Springs State Park, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.
