The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Keep things going the next day: take in the dramatic scenery at Virginia Falls, explore the activities along St. Mary Lake, and then explore and take pictures at Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Fort Lauderdale to Glacier National Park is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Fort Lauderdale in June: highs in Glacier National Park hover around 75°F, while lows dip to 45°F. You can drive from West Yellowstone to Yellowstone National Park in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In July in Yellowstone National Park, expect temperatures between 73°F during the day and 39°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to travel to Rexburg.

The Jackson Hole valley is approximately 97 km (60 mi) long and 24 km (15 mi) wide, encompassing the town of Jackson, Teton Village, and the northern section of Grand Teton National Park.
Get outdoors at Cascade Canyon Trail and Jenny Lake. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Inspiration Point and Chapel of the Transfiguration. Go for a jaunt from Jackson Hole to Alta to see Grand Targhee Ski Resort about 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Oxbow Bend, take in nature's colorful creations at Vertical Harvest, tour the pleasant surroundings at Antelope Flats, and go for a walk through Cunningham Cabin.
