A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Step out of the city life by going to Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Change things up with a short trip to Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans (about 44 minutes away). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Race Point Beach, stroll through Long Point, examine the collection at Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and explore the galleries of Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum.

Do a combination of bus and flight from Bar Harbor to Provincetown in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus, flight, and ferry; or drive. Traveling from Bar Harbor in April, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Provincetown, with lows around 4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Falmouth.
