Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Bring the kids along to Albuquerque Old Town and Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Get some cultural insight at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque and The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. When in Albuquerque, make a side trip to see Singing Road in Tijeras, approximately Tijeras away. There's lots more to do: soar above the sights with a balloon tour, hunt for treasures at Expo New Mexico Open Air Flea Market, take in the dramatic natural features at Petroglyph National Monument, and learn more about the world around you at New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.
