The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
Attractions like National Air and Space Museum and National Zoological Park make great kid-friendly stops. Do some cultural sightseeing at National Gallery of Art and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. When in Washington DC, make a side trip to see Mount Vernon Trail in Arlington, approximately 32 minutes away. Do some cultural sightseeing at The Strip and The National Atomic Testing Museum.
