A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Carowinds and Escape Kings. Go for a jaunt from Charlotte to Mooresville to see The Lazy 5 Ranch about 46 minutes away. The location of an old Cherokee village, Bryson City embraces a quiet side of the Great Smoky Mountains.
On the 10th (Fri), try your luck at Casino at Harrah’s Cherokee, then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then get engrossed in the history at The Storytelling Center of the Southern Appalachians at Bryson City.
