Cannon Beach is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. Bring the kids along to Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach. Explore Cannon Beach's surroundings by going to Rockaway Beach (Rockaway Beach Wayside & Kelly's Brighton Marina). A town that survives on the sea, Newport's population of just over 10,000 supports a healthy commercial fishing industry.
On the 21st (Tue), visit a coastal fixture at Yaquina Head Lighthouse, then look for all kinds of wild species at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, then enjoy the sand and surf at Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area, and finally walk around Whale Park. Keep things going the next day: take a leisurely stroll along Newport's Historic Bayfront, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Oregon Coast Aquarium, take in the waterfront at Yachats coastline, then appreciate the history behind Bazalgette the Whale at Whale Park, and finally admire the majestic nature at Yachats State Park.
