Duck — 2 nights

Duck is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States. Discover out-of-the-way places like Carova Beach and Currituck Beach. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Currituck Banks Reserve and Back Country Safari Tours. There's still lots to do: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, enjoy the sea views from Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Historic Corolla Chapel, and walk around Sandy Run Park.

Manteo is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States, located on Roanoke Island. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Kids will appreciate attractions like Fishing Charters & Tours and Bodie Island Lighthouse. Ocracoke is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated town located at the southern end of Ocracoke Island, located entirely within Hyde County, North Carolina. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Springers Point and Hammock Hills Nature Trails. We've included these beaches for you: Ocracoke Lifeguarded Beach and Ocracoke Beach. And it doesn't end there: stroll the grounds of British Cemetery, enjoy the sea views from Ocracoke Lighthouse, stop by Books to Be Red, and take an in-depth tour of Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum.
