Family-friendly places like El Yunque Rain Forest and Condado Beach will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Luquillo Beach in El Yunque National Forest (about 46 minutes away). There's much more to do: take a memorable tour with Tours, appreciate the extensive heritage of San Juan National Historic Site, and see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. Start off your visit on the 26th (Wed): explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Ponce and then step off the mainland to explore Isla de Caja de Muertos.

Traveling from San Juan in June, you will find days in Ponce are slightly colder (83°F), and nights are about the same (76°F). For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.

Traveling by combination of car and ferry from Ponce to Isla de Vieques takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of car and flight. Expect a daytime high around 87°F in June, and nighttime lows around 78°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Tue) to allow time to travel to Culebra.
