Emerald City
Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.Change things up with a short trip to Mount Ellinor in Olympic National Park (about 1h 40 min away). Dedicate the 24th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: take in the exciting artwork at Chihuly Garden and Glass, explore the world behind art at Seattle Art Museum, observe the fascinating underwater world at Seattle Aquarium, and take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M.
