Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Pike Place Market and Fort Nisqually Living History Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Snoqualmie Falls and Olympic Discovery Trail. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seattle: Fort Worden State Park (in Port Townsend), Sequim (B&B Family Farm & Sequim Bay Scenic Pullout) and Bloedel Reserve (in Bainbridge Island).
