In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Fri): explore the different monuments and memorials at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Battleship Missouri Memorial and then take a stroll around Polynesian Cultural Center.

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
You'll get in some beach time at Wailea Beach and Napili Beach. Discover out-of-the-way places like Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Change things up with a short trip to Scuba & Snorkeling in Kihei (about 38 minutes away). There's still lots to do: get interesting insight from Tours and take a stroll through Lahaina Front Street.

Visit Fort Zachary Taylor and Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum for their historical value. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Truman Little White House and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Ingham Maritime Museum. Spend the 18th (Sun) exploring nature at Dry Tortugas National Park.
