Neu-Braunfels

Built upon the back of an older cotton-producing town called Gruene, New Braunfels pays tribute to its heritage by maintaining part of the historical town--its post office, general store, and dance hall among other buildings--inside the city limits.
You've now added Gruene Hall to your itinerary. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Old Blanco County Courthouse and New Braunfels Conservation Society. Get some cultural insight at Becker Vineyards (Winery) and The Pharmacy and Medical Museum of Texas. Venture out of the city with trips to Hye (Calais Winery, William Chris Vineyards, &more), Pedernales Cellars (in Stonewall) and Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum (in Cuero). There's much more to do: stroll around Landa Park, contemplate the waterfront views at Bezdeks Rentals, and relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

To see traveler tips, where to stay, reviews, and more tourist information, read our New Braunfels trip maker.
