On the 1st (Mon), examine the collection at New York Public Library, then wander the streets of Times Square, and then pause for some photo ops at 9/11 Memorial. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to The Metropolitan Museum of Art and then make a trip to Fifth Avenue.

Head to Riversdale House Museum and Madame Tussauds DCfor some retail therapy.
