Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Montgomery to Rapid City. In July, Rapid City is little chillier than Montgomery - with highs of 85°F and lows of 62°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) so you can go by car to Medora.

On the 2nd (Fri), examine the collection at Lake Superior Railroad Museum, see the interesting displays at S.S. William A. Irvin Ore Boat Museum, then get all the information you need at Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, and finally admire the natural beauty at Leif Erikson Park. On your second day here, stroll through Park Point, then identify plant and animal life at Congdon Park, and then admire the majestic nature at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

Wisconsin Dells

Named after a nearby scenic gorge famous for its steep sandstone formations, Wisconsin Dells features more than 20 water parks, making it one of the most popular vacation areas in this region.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Sun): examine the collection at Circus World, then look for all kinds of wild species at International Crane Foundation, and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.
