A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Attractions like River Rafting & Tubing and The Escape Game Pigeon Forge make great kid-friendly stops. Step out of Pigeon Forge to go to Hartford and see Zipline, which is approximately 50 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: walk around Chimneys Picnic Area, cool off at Dollywood, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount LeConte, and sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company.
