Situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlottesville is perhaps best known as the home of three of the United States' founding fathers, including Thomas Jefferson.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Wed): experience rural life at Carter Mountain Orchard. On the 2nd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting and then learn about winemaking at Trump Winery.
