Although Badlands National Park's name might not be the most inviting, its landscape of pinnacles, eroded buttes, spires, and an expansive, pristine mixed-grass prairie remain enticing.
Roughlock Falls State Nature Area has been added to your itinerary. Explore hidden gems such as Notch Trail and Yellow Mounds Overlook. Get in touch with nature at Roberts Prairie Dog Town and Castle Trail. Change things up with a short trip to Lacreek National Wildlife Refuge in Martin (about 1h 35 min away).
