In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Your inner history buff will appreciate USS Arizona Memorial and Battleship Missouri Memorial. Step off the beaten path and head to Shark Diving and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Step out of Honolulu to go to Waianae and see Swim with Dolphins, which is approximately 52 minutes away.

Los Angeles to Honolulu is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Los Angeles to Honolulu, you'll gain 2 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Los Angeles in August, expect a bit warmer with lows of 75°F in Honolulu. A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
On the 8th (Sun), kick back and relax at Sombrero Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at The Turtle Hospital, and then immerse yourself in nature at Bahia Honda State Park. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Dolphin Research Center and then see what you can catch with a fishing tour.

Do a combination of flight and shuttle from Kailua-Kona to Marathon in 16.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of bus, flight, and shuttle. The time zone changes from Hawaii Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a 5 hour difference. Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
On the 10th (Tue), immerse yourself in nature at Fort Zachary Taylor, then steep yourself in history at Truman Little White House, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Key West Cemetery, and finally cruise along The Overseas Highway.
