Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Detroit in July; daily highs in Paradise reach 74°F and lows reach 53°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Munising.

Munising is a city on the southern shore of Lake Superior on the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. Visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Munising Falls will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Munising side-trips: Sable Falls (in Grand Marais) and Seney National Wildlife Refuge (in Seney). Marquette is a city in the U.S. Get outdoors at Presque Isle Park and Timberstone Golf Course. Immaculate Conception Church Iron Mountain and Chapin Mine Pit will appeal to history buffs. Explore Marquette's surroundings by going to Piers Gorge Trail (in Norway) and Iron Mountain Iron Mine (in Vulcan).
