With a population of less than 300, Harpers Ferry is as quaint as they come.Bring the kids along to Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and Horseback Riding Tours. Change things up with a short trip to Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center in Gettysburg (about 1h 5 min away). There's more to do: hike along Appalachian National Scenic Trail and get great views at The Point.

Davis is a town in Tucker County, West Virginia, along the Blackwater River. Kids will appreciate attractions like Blackwater Falls State Park and Ohiopyle State Park. When in Davis, make a side trip to see Swallow Falls State Park in Oakland, approximately Oakland away.
