Traveling by car from Anchorage to Seward takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Anchorage in December, with highs in Seward at 1°C and lows at -4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) to allow time to drive to Homer.

On the 24th (Sun), take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback and then admire the majestic nature at Independence Mine State Historical Park. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
