Seward

For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
Take a break from Seward with a short trip to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, about 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, explore the activities along Resurrection Bay, get interesting insight from Tours, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Alaska SeaLife Center.

When traveling from Anchorage in June, plan for slightly colder days in Seward, with highs around 61°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 47°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Fri) early enough to travel to Homer.
