Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Eklutna Village Historic Park as well as Thunderbird Falls. Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): take in the dramatic scenery at Thunderbird Falls and then contemplate the long history of Eklutna Village Historic Park.

Palmer is the borough seat of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in the U.S. Pioneer Falls has been added to your itinerary. On the 28th (Fri), take in the dramatic scenery at Pioneer Falls, see Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours, then relax in the rural setting at Reindeer Farm, and finally take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.
