Bismarck is the capital of the U.S. state of North Dakota and the county seat of Burleigh County. Venture out of the city with trips to Enchanted Highway (in Regent), Minot (Scandinavian Heritage Park & Roosevelt Park Zoo) and Assumption Abbey (in Richardton). There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, let little ones run wild at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, see the interesting displays at National Buffalo Museum, and meet the residents at The Dakota Zoo.
