Bryce Canyon National Park — 15 nights

You can find hoodoos--rock pillars formed by erosion--all around the world, but those of Bryce Canyon National Park remain the standard bearers thanks to their bright red color, tall stature, and arrangement in large amphitheaters.Venture out of the city with trips to Cannonville (Willis Creek & Kodachrome Basin State Park), Point Imperial Drive (in Grand Canyon National Park) and Big Water (Coyote Buttes, Grosvenor Arch, &more). Spend the 24th (Mon) exploring nature at Peek-A-Boo Loop. Spend the 2nd (Wed) exploring nature at Under-the-Rim Trail. And it doesn't end there: trek along Navajo Loop Trail, identify plant and animal life at Red Canyon Trail Rides, enjoy breathtaking views from Bryce Point, and take in the dramatic natural features at Bryce Amphitheatre.
To see other places to visit, photos, maps, and more tourist information, use the Bryce Canyon National Park trip itinerary builder site.
In July, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 10°C.
