Carmel — 15 nights

Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply called Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Carmel: Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (in Santa Cruz), Big Sur (McWay Falls, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, &more) and San Simeon (Friends of the Elephant Seal Visitor Center and Gift Shop & Hearst Castle). There's still lots to do: admire the majestic nature at Point Lobos, cruise along 17-Mile Drive, meet the residents at Monterey Bay Aquarium, and get a dose of the wild on Elkhorn Slough Safari.
