Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
For shopping fun, head to Alpine Sports or Outlets at Silverthorne. Escape the urban bustle at Frisco Adventure Park and Vail Recreation Path. Venture out of the city with trips to Keystone Lake (in Keystone), Frisco Escape Room (in Frisco) and Breckenridge (Blue River Sports, Breckenridge Nordic Center, &more).
