Get outdoors at Winter Park Resort and Trail Ridge Road. Explore Denver's surroundings by going to Rocky Mountain National Park (Sheep Lakes & Many Parks Curve Overlook). There's much more to do: see the sky in a new way at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, explore and take pictures at Coors Field, take in nature's colorful creations at Denver Botanic Gardens, and pause for some serene contemplation at Trinity United Methodist Church.

New York City to Denver is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time is minus 2 hours. Traveling from New York City in April, Denver is a bit cooler at night with lows of 34°F. Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
On the 9th (Tue), hit the slopes at Vail Nordic Center and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Vail Mountain Resort. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll through Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
