Oscoda is an unincorporated community in the U.S. state of Michigan located on the northern side of the Au Sable River where it enters Lake Huron. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Starlite Beach and Thumb Octagon Barn. Let the collections at Grayling Fish Hatchery Museum Project and Civilian Conservation Corps Museum capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting Oscoda side-trips: Frederic (Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing & Sledheads of Frederic), Bailey School (in Harrisville) and Alpena (Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center, Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, &more).
