In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Koko Crater Railway Trail and Food Tours. Go for a jaunt from Honolulu to Kailua to see Lanikai Beach about 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of USS Arizona Memorial, get to know the fascinating history of Makapuu Lighthouse Trail, stroll through Waikiki Beach, and explore the different monuments and memorials at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

For maps, where to stay, more things to do, and more tourist information, read Honolulu online trip itinerary builder .

Berlin, Germany to Honolulu is an approximately 23.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time to Hawaii Standard Time is minus 11 hours. Expect a daytime high around 33°C in April, and nighttime lows around 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Hanalei.

And it doesn't end there: admire the majestic nature at Na Pali Coast State Park, stroll through Hanalei Beach, stop by Hanalei Farmer’s Market, and take a memorable drive along Hanalei Valley Lookout.

Those who named Volcano opted for simplicity in choosing a title, taking the nearby fire-spewing Kilauea as a source of inspiration.

Kailua-Kona, Island of Hawaii

Kailua-Kona ©
Thanks to its favorable location near a mountain range blocking the northeasterly trade winds, Kailua-Kona gets little rainfall, allowing adventure seekers and nature lovers a chance to enjoy over 300 days of sunshine each year.
Explore hidden gems such as Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area and Greenwell Farms. Step out of Kailua-Kona with an excursion to Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park in Honaunau--about 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: see what you can catch with a fishing tour, admire all the interesting features of Hula Daddy Kona Coffee, stop by The Original Donkey Ball Store, and fulfill a lifelong dream with a swim-with-the-dolphins experience.

To find other places to visit, photos, where to stay, and tourist information, read Kailua-Kona trip planner .
