Honolulu, Oahu

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Relax by the water at Lanikai Beach and Waikiki Beach. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Makapuu Lighthouse Trail and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Change things up with a short trip to Scuba & Snorkeling in Haleiwa (about 50 minutes away). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Koko Crater Railway Trail, appreciate the views at Nuuanu Pali Lookout, stroll the grounds of USS Arizona Memorial, and appreciate the history behind Queen Liliuokalani Statue.
