Big Pineapple

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
USS Arizona Memorial and Byodo-In Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Kids will enjoy Diamond Head State Monument and Bishop Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Honolulu side-trips: Opana Radar Site (in Kawela Bay), Kailua (Lanikai Beach & Lanikai Pillboxes) and Haleiwa (Wys Galleries, Skydiving, &more). And it doesn't end there: stroll the grounds of National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, kick back and relax at Kapiolani Regional Park, trek along Koko Crater Railway Trail, and test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.
