Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): examine the collection at Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World, steep yourself in history at Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site, then contemplate the long history of Oak Alley Plantation, and finally examine the collection at Museum of Trade Finance and the Fed. Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Scuba & Snorkeling.
