A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
When in Provincetown, make a side trip to see Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham, approximately 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Cape Cod National Seashore, get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, stroll through Race Point Beach, and take in the waterfront at MacMillan Wharf.

Amsterdam, Holland to Provincetown is an approximately 9-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time to Eastern Standard Time is minus 6 hours. Traveling from Amsterdam in July, expect Provincetown to be a bit warmer, temps between 30°C and 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Hyannis.

Get out of town with these interesting Hyannis side-trips: Chatham Railroad Museum (in Chatham), Falmouth (Shining Sea Bikeway & Old Silver Beach) and Cape Cod Canal (in Buzzards Bay). Traveling by car from Provincetown to Hyannis takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Hyannis can reach 31°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Nantucket.
