Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
You've now added Honokalani Black Sand Beach to your itinerary. Get out of town with these interesting Hana side-trips: Haleakala Crater (in Haleakala National Park) and Charles Lindbergh's Grave (in Kipahulu). The adventure continues: take a memorable drive along Hana Highway - Road to Hana, Head underground at Hana Lava Tubes, enjoy the sand and surf at Wai'anapanapa State Park, and make a trip to Kalaloa Point.
