Fish Creek is an unincorporated community located in Door County, Wisconsin, United States, within the town of Gibraltar and is located on Highway 42 along Green Bay.HistoryThe first settler of Fish Creek was Increase Claflin and his family circa 1844, but the village founder is considered to be entrepreneur Asa Thorp. On the 24th (Fri), immerse yourself in nature at Peninsula State Park. On your second day here, visit a coastal fixture at Cana Island Lighthouse, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Washington Island Stavkirke, and then stroll through Schoolhouse Beach.

Take a break from the city and head to Fishing Charters & Tours and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Explore hidden gems such as Zipline and Talking Rocks Cavern. Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
Step off the beaten path and head to Presidential Trail and Needles Eye Tunnel. Visiting Iron Mountain Road and Mount Rushmore National Memorial will get you outdoors. Go for a jaunt from Custer to Hot Springs to see Mammoth Site of Hot Springs about 42 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Sylvan Lake, explore and take pictures at Wildlife Loop Road, take a memorable drive along Needles Highway, and steep yourself in history at Peter Norbeck Visitors Center.
