West Glacier — 1 night

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Tue): contemplate the waterfront views at Lake McDonald, then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at John's Lake Loop. Keep things going the next day: get great views at Jackson Glacier Overlook, then trek along Swiftcurrent Pass Hike, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Swiftcurrent Mountain.

Missoula to West Glacier is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of bus and taxi; or do a combination of bus and train. In March, plan for daily highs up to 46°F, and evening lows to 25°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) so you can fly to Scottsdale.

Plan for warmer temperatures traveling from West Glacier in March, with highs in Scottsdale at 82°F and lows at 57°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Wed) early enough to travel to Magnolia.
