For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Do your shopping at Orlando International Premium Outlets and Orlando Premium Outlets - Vineland Avenue. Get some cultural insight at Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and Stetson Mansion. Step out of Orlando to go to Sanford and see Boxelder, which is approximately 38 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: try out the rides at World of Disney, look for gifts at The LEGO Store Downtown Disney, and wander the streets of International Drive.

Gettysburg National Military Park and Arlington National Cemetery will appeal to history buffs. R.H. Ballard Shop & Gallery and Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Gettysburg (The Lion Potter of Gettysburg & Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center), Shenandoah National Park (Elkwallow Picnic Area & Skyline Drive) and Wine Loves Chocolate (in Washington).
