City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Venture out of the city with trips to Flight 93 National Memorial (in Stoystown), Mister Rogers' Park Bench (in Latrobe) and Somerset (Somerset Historical Center & Kings Covered Bridge). On the 3rd (Tue), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Fallingwater, stop by Mount Washington, get engrossed in the history at Senator John Heinz History Center, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Expect a daytime high around 82°F in July, and nighttime lows around 65°F.
